Consistency is Key

It’s a process of measurement and regulated to whether you want to progress with it or not,

It’s definitely a tough pill to swallow at times, as the various factors involved in maintaining consistency are not always conducive to your individual way of living or the state of purpose you aspire to. However, it’s important to recognize that this struggle makes perfect sense and can ultimately lead to significant personal growth post Sepsis

Sepsis has a way of being consistent in the form of the outcome; it will be the same if left untreated and similar if treated. This condition is relentless and unwilling to negotiate, which prompts the question: why do we continuously battle and fight, doing everything within our power to suppress the resistance to the unyielding onslaught of Sepsis? Through the consistency of our careful choices and repeated efforts, we engage in this struggle. It's ingrained in our DNA; everyone possesses this innate fight for survival and that powerful drive to overcome. However, it's important to recognize that not all of us are willing to sustain this effort and maintain the consistency required in our approach to battling Sepsis.

Sepsis is undeniably a numbers game, and unfortunately or fortunately, those numbers tend to favor those who have managed to survive the relentless onslaught of the attack. This is where the critical process of consistency begins to play a profoundly pivotal role. It’s the unwavering consistency of strong, repetitive healthy habits that truly makes a difference. It’s about having the steadfast commitment to keep moving forward each and every day, regardless of the challenges that may arise. Additionally, it’s about the consistency of always having a thoughtful plan in place—be it large or small—that guides you along the way. Above all, it’s the consistency to keep pushing forward and never allowing yourself to stop, no matter the obstacles you might face.

To be consistent, in all its various aspects, has many forms of moving forward, and for me, that’s the key: always moving forward, never looking back. It's progress that truly makes the difference, and this is precisely where many people find themselves faltering and ultimately stopping the process. They often become discouraged because they don’t immediately see progress; however, it's important to remember that progress is sometimes subtle and not always visible at first glance. It can be so slow that a person may not feel the benefits, and therefore, they might start to believe they have hit a plateau and are going nowhere. This frustrating experience can span days, weeks, or even months. Still, results will materialize in due time; progress always does if you invest the necessary effort and maintain a consistent mindset to accomplish the daily tasks you've set for yourself in pursuit of your long-term goals. Recovery from sepsis is certainly not a quick fix; it's not something you can easily bounce back from overnight. For some, like myself, it can take months or even years to feel a sense of normalcy again. Even now, five years on, I still experience challenges. However, what has made consistency much easier for me today is that it has transformed into a habitual part of my life. I find that I can complete the tasks I need to accomplish on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Each day becomes a series of repeated actions that facilitate returning to a normal life—a life that I aspire to and look forward to each and every day.

I don’t have some magic pill that I can simply swallow and expect everything to go back to normal again; that’s just not how sepsis works. It changes you in many profound ways—at least it did for me—and unfortunately, not in a good way. Sepsis truly has no benefits for anyone at all, and most times, the outcome can be quite decisive, to say the least. Yet, I also believe that consistency plays a significant role in the journey to recovery. Therefore, in order for me to effectively overcome the challenges posed by sepsis, I needed to remain consistent, relentless, and dedicated to my recovery plan, making sure to follow through without any deviation along the way.

It will get better but it will take time these variables can change the more consistent you are the quicker the time the better you will feel depending on what how and when you do things but the consistency will need to be the one variable that must not change at any cost if there is to be progress.

My consistency in the beginning was just to get out of bed and make it to the loo I did that daily and a necessity of course lol but it was a necessity which lead to me walking a little further daily until I could make it downstairs to have my breakfast albeit this took the best part of a hour it was a start of daily consistencies which lead to bigger better efforts and soon enough I made it outside once I did that I knew I cracked it and I would be off running not literally lol

Point being have a plan in place get your mindset right and move, find your consistency and never ever give up.
